Raphaëlle studied fashion in Paris and Brussels and learned alongside Christian Dior, Yvan Mispealeare, Sharon Wauchob and Martin Grant, and became in 2006, junior designer for Emilio Pucci. In 2010, she won the Grand Prix de la Creation de la ville de Paris and decided to start her eponymous brand.
Who are you?
A young Parisian designer, I created my brand after receiving the Grand Prix de la Creation de la ville de Paris. I had always dreamed of it, but it gave me the courage to actually do it.
How did you start in fashion?
I wanted to create a project around the creation. Fashion meets my two desires: the nobility of creativity and the democratization of clothing.
How would you define your style?
Graphic, modern, sharp. Both feminine and wild.
What inspires you?
Colors, contrasts, folding drive me in my creative work. Children's games and craftmanship inspire me, as well as the work of material or technique. Free artists (painters, photographers and sculptors) inspired me with their freshness that I try to transmit in my clothes.
A few words about this collection...
For this collection, I wanted to work winter colors (navy blue, dark green and black lurex). The colors and the jacquard pattern give a strong personality to this collection, both urban and ethnic.
What's your favorite piece in our selection?
I love the coat. It's a strong basic this season, a timeless piece.
What are you most proud of?
I feel proud during the shooting which ends the collection. The meeting between the clothes and the model make me realize all the work of my collection. When people wore my clothes I feel very proud.
Where do you manufacture your products?
Everything is made in France, in Paris.
Where can we find your collection?
In my boutique in the 9th for special orders.
If your brand was a music, a movie, a cocktail...
No girl so sweet from PJ Harvey. La science des Rêves, Michel Gondry. A strawberry Daïquiri.
